JOINT STATEMENT BY PRESIDENT OF RUSSIA VLADIMIR PUTIN AND US PRESIDENT GEORGE BUSH ON THE RESULTS OF THEIR MEETING IN GENOA

A Joint Statement was adopted on the results of the Genoa meeting of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and President of the USA George Bush. The Statement says:

"We agreed that major changes in the world require concrete discussions of both offensive and defensive systems. We already have some strong and tangible points of agreement. We will shortly begin intensive consultations on the interrelated subjects of offensive and defensive systems."
