Russia satisfied with development of relations with EU
Russia is satisfied with the dynamics of the development of relations with the European Union, which "are developing and strengthening before every next summit." Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov voiced this opinion opening talks with EU representatives today. According to him, preparations for the tenth summit talks between Russia and the EU, which are to be held in Copenhagen on November 11 of this year, will be discussed at today's negotiations. The Russian foreign minister underlined that the relations with European countries were a strategic aspect of Russia's foreign policy. The foreign minister of Denmark, which is presently the presiding country of the EU, the foreign minister of Greece, which will be the presiding country of the EU in the first six months of 2003, and Javier Solana, EU high representative for foreign affairs and security, are participating in today's negotiations.
